Our Robots

This robot was designed for the Power Up FIRST robotics competition. It was able to pick up and place the “power cubes” (milk crates) on the scale to tip it towards their side.

This robot was designed for the Destination: Deep Space FIRST robotics competition. It was able to pick up and place “cargo” (orange balls) inside the cargo ship.

Side Winder was designed for the Infinite Recharge FIRST robotics competition. It was able to pick up and score “power cells” (foam balls).

 The Christmas tree bot was built on a flatbot (robot with only wheels and a bumper) and was designed to drive around Alliston for the light up parade.

The dancing robot, also known as Hugh Man, was a robot designed to perform in the play Barrie, Europa for the Simcoe County Theatre Festival, as an alien from the moon Europa. It was able to move around and dance.

Clawdia was designed for the Charged Up FIRST robotics competition. It was able to use a long claw to pick up cubes.

 Goalia is one of the most famous of our team's robots. It was created to be a hockey goalie robot aired on TSN and to be able to independently block goals in the net. Over the years, Goalia has been revamped and reworked, especially for its appearance at Hannover Messe.

The venus flytrap bot was designed to be used as a prop in the Addam’s Family Musical at the Georgian Theatre. It was able to remotely open and close its jaws.

Symphony was designed for the Crescendo FIRST robotics competition. It was able to pick up and score “notes” (foam rings).

James Colman was designed for the Reefscape FIRST robotics competition. It was able to pick up “algae” (large inflated balls) and deposit them in a low goal and high net. It stood out at the competition for the fact that the elevator is made from used hockey sticks.
